The OPS35 heater is an easy to use as well as eco-nomic al way to prevent from microphones from con-densations effects. Microphone condensation effects changes frequency response behavior while adding weight to the microphone diaphragm). The use of a chemical type dehumidifier is limited by saturation. A dehumidifier requires monitoring as well as drying if saturated from humidity.
The microphone heater is best for 100% availability and maintenance free.
The OPS heater uses a heater element which is known to work fail safe. Overheating is not possible.
The colder it is the more heat the OPS-MHTptc adds. It does not add heat (almost) at high temperatures.
The following graphs show you the heater perform-ance characteristics. Temperatures has been meas-ured with an installed microphone at the mic capsule position (acoustical port).
